Africa Harvest School of Ministry

Pastor Steven Sebyala

Pastor Steven Sebyala founded the Africa Harvest School of leadership training in 1999. No sooner had the center got to its' feet than the Lord asked Pastor Steven to include a missionary training center.

The School is a place where one can come and learn to handle the mission field. To learn more, get in touch at the information Center of the Africa Harvest School of Ministry.

Institutional Values:

The core values that under gird the works of AHSOM will include:
Christ likeness: AHSOM exists because of the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. The constant aim is for each member of our school family to grow in His image.
Truth: Truth is sought in each class and should be lived out in the behaviours and speech of each employee and student.
Excellence: Excellence in every facet of our work, AHSOM will seek the highest level of performance and service. "Perpetual improvement" will be the mantra for each class, department, or administrative area.
Service: Everything we do and teach should reflect the second great command "to love your neighbor as yourself." Knowledge acquired and skills gained are to be used to bless the lives of others.

The center has trained many people and released them back into the mission field. The purpose of the school is to develop a people who would take their communities for Christ.

Mission Statement: AHSOM is a private coeducational institution whose principal focus will be undergraduate education in the liberal arts, theology and sciences combined with a number of pre-professional fields and master's degree programs. Its primary mission will be to integrate Christian faith and practice with academic excellence. The mission will be carried out not only in the classroom but also by involvement in numerous services to "the church" and the larger community. All of Africa will be saved!

Kyle Barnes - Principal

Kyle Barnes: I was saved in 2001 and called into missions two weeks later.  I taught in the Discipleship Pathway program at Bethel Temple VA, USA. I resigned permanently from my paying job a a teacher to be here to learn about the school and to begin helping to institute changes to help improve some things that where needed. I have learned so much in the time I have been. I look forward to serving you.

Pamela - my wife and I are so proud and honored to be called by God to come to Uganda and to work on the task He has put before us.  We have a vision and the vision is big.  There is a lot of work ahead, but the reward is great.  God be with you always.

Saved in 2001 and called into missions two weeks later, I did not know how, when, or where, but knew the call was on my life. Within a year of salvation the call to ministry was evident. Teaching new believers at the local church for over three years, his pastor, Pastor Ron Johnson, in November of 2006 came directly to Kyle and Pamela and asked them to consider going to Africa to run the AHSOM. They both began to weep because God had pulled them from his quiver and pointed them in the direction of Uganda. They both knew that this was of God.
